Program Overview

The Jr. Wolverines football program is Ann Arbor’s premier youth tackle football program for boys and girls in grades 2-8.

No experience? No problem. Our coaches build fundamental skills from the ground up. What all players share by the end of the season: they know the game, they know their teammates, and they know what it means to work for something.

The Legendary Tom Landry said it best: "Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it's so incredible, it's unbelievable." Ann Arbor has a long-standing Junior Football tradition going back to when John and Jim Harbaugh played here, for the Junior Packers.

Today, this tradition continues with the Jr. Wolverines. Our mission is to teach athletes the great game of football, to teach them what teamwork means, to learn to overcome adversity, and to have fun in a safe environment. We want him/her to be a part of our team, to share in the camaraderie of competition, the joy of team success, and to become a part of the Washtenaw Blue tradition.

Preseason will start in August with 5 practice days per week. In-season we will practice 3 times per week with games held on Saturdays. TeamSnap is our primary form of communication throughout the season..

The Washtenaw Blue tradition encourages the entire family to join in on the fun, whether cheering on the team, volunteering on gameday, or during team building activities.
